This traditional beaded hair comb, known as a suwat, is an elaborate cultural ornament worn by women of the T'boli and Blaan indigenous communities (Lumad groups) in the Mindanao region of the southern Philippines. Structure: It features a comb base completely covered and decorated with an intricate geometric bead weave. Design: It has long, cascading strands of beads, displaying traditional color combinations (yellow, red, white, and black) arranged in distinctive tribal patterns.
