The piano has not been tuned for about 10 years, and the pitch has dropped. However, I can still play it normally. I usually use another grand piano, and while I don't think the tone is too bad, it does require tuning.
Last year, the soundboard (underside) was cleaned, the area under the keys was cleaned, and the desiccant and insect repellent were replaced. Currently, there are no broken flange cords, and the keys and hammer sticks are intact. All keys and pedals have been tested for operation.
This is an old Yamaha piano manufactured in the Showa 30s (1955-1964), so the exterior is worn, which might give it a unique charm.
